My core skills are in data communications and management of technology projects.
Technologies in which I have specific skills and experience include:
- Card payments (both from a retail and a bank perspective);
- Smart cards (chip cards) in general, and financial smart cards (electronic purses, "EMV" credit/debit cards etc.) in particular;
- E-commerce and Internet payment;
- Retail point of sale (EPOS) systems (hardware, software and networks);
- Data communications security, cryptography and best practice
- Transaction protocols for authentication and authorisation;
- Card management systems (customer record maintenance, card issuing, security, customer service and call centre systems);
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI);
- Data transmission by satellite.
